Retro Lego mp3 player

Have you always wished for an mp3 player that looks like something fun to play with but can do something unexpected? Well here it is! This high tech lego is about the same size as any other mp3 player but look like any 4 by 2 lego piece. It has the same functions as any ipod shuffle such as the play, pause, next song, previous song, and volume control buttons. You can pimp out your lego with any of the basic lego colors (red, blue, yellow, green, and white.) The only defect I see in the legopod is that there is no way to store the songs. You would have to get a microSD card of up to 2GB MAX. The built in Li-ion battery, fully charged can play your songs for about 6hours before it needing another charge. The price of the lego shuffle is only $46.

Spykee Voice-Activated iPod Robots Seem...Wrong

Meccano is introducing 2 new robots, the Spykee Vox and the Spykee Miss, each targeted at different genders by the looks of them. Each robot has it’s own iPod dock, weirdly situated in their robot groin areas, and are compatible with other mp3 players as well. They appear to be having their way with the devices.

BooM China Vase iPod Speakers

BooM has an interesting way to pump up tunes from your iPod. They built an iPod speaker inside a China vase. It features white stained glass with a Chinese design on it and boosts a 25-watt subwoofer. So when guests come over, make sure they don’t break this “special vase”. Price and release date is unavailable right now.

Numark TTi Turntable Brings Vinyl Back

Bust out your old records. The Numark TTi Turntable comes with an integrated iPod dock, USB interface, a metal platter and pitch control. It rips vinyl records directly to the iPod, or even to your PC or Mac. So take your whole collection and rip it. It’s should be available in Q2 for $450.

Turn Your iPod Into A Remote For Your Home

Here’s an app for iPhone that makes your home smarter. Many people have dreamed of automating their house, but it has always been an expensive proposition. Now anybody can do it for a reasonable price, thanks to DIY software like Cinemar’s Mainlobby.

Control security, lighting, heating etc. Pretty useful app.

Cinemizer iPod Video Glasses

Yeah I know...This guy looks like Tom Cruise at a Scientology conference. Cinemizer is a pair of iPod video glasses that recently was launched by the Carl Zeiss optical systems. They have a wired remote that lets you play, stop and pause videos. The glasses are powered by a battery residing in the special iPod dock.

Alpine iPod DA-X200 and X300 Headunits

Great way to enhance what your iPod can do. The DA-X300 has a USB input for receiving media from devices that are not ipods and the DA-X200 has Alpine’s Sound Imprint system for DSP. No word on how much or when this comes out. Sometime next year.

MiShare: iPod On iPod Action

This could be a huge pain in the butt for Apple. The MiShare allows iPods to share information without a computer. For instance, your friend has pictures, playlists or mp3s on their iPod, that you would like to have on yours, but you don’t want to go through the trouble of getting out the laptop, charger cable, and iPod reverse transfer software. MiShare makes it easy with direct iPod on iPod action. Just attach both iPods and press the button to start the transfer.

Santa Claus iPod Speakers

Great pair of Christmas themed speakers for your iPod. Sure to go with that tacky Reindeer sweater. Right now they are only available wholesale, but hopefully that will change soon and you can pimp your iPod for the holidays.

The Lars & Ivan Hybrid iPod Dock

I have no idea who Lars & Ivan are. It sounds like a swedish/Russian adventure movie based roughly on Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure. Whoever the hell they are, they know design. It provides a 40-watt amp to boost your speakers and generally looks damn cool.

The Ghetto-Box Gets An Upgrade

A Boom-Box for the 21st century. A geek's dream come true!

Lasonic's high performance system weighs a hefty 15 pounds and sports an iPod dock with 2 x 15W speakers . To top it off, it also features support for USB flash drives and SD/MMC Memory cards.

Currently, it is out of stock. No doubt, headed toward the basements of women who own adult geek children and comic-con attendees.
Geek factor aside, it's pretty damn retro-chic!
